KickballKickball is a classic game used to work may different skills. Similar to baseball/softball in nature, but with a kicking twist. The group is split into two teams: offensive and defensive. The offensive team is the batting team, one person is to bat at a time. The remainder of the team is to line up out of the field of play. The batter is the person who will attempt to kick the ball out into the field. As soon as the batter kicks they are to run to 1st base. A batter is out if the ball is caught in the air, the batter is tagged with the ball before touching the base, the batter is hit below the waist with the ball before touching the base, or a force out occurs. Force outs occur when a batter has to run to a base without having a choice. Example: a person is on 1st base and a batter has just kicked the ball into play. The person on 1st must run to 2nd base. If the defensive team tags the base with the ball in hand before the runner tags the base it's a force out. The only way to score points is by being the offensive/batting team and touching all 4 bases (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and home). The defensive team is trying to get 3 outs as fast as possible to switch to the offensive team so that they can score points. One person on the defensive team is the pitcher and must roll the ball to the batter/kicker of the offensive team. The rest of the defensive team spreads out in the field. The defensive team can get an out by catching a kicked ball in the air, tagger the running with the ball before they touch the base, hitting the running below the waist with the ball before the runner touches the base, or a force out. Play 3 or more innings to decide the winner. An inning is both teams getting to kick.
